About this guide

This is an independent travel guide to Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side, with pages on Livingstone in Zambia and trips out to Chobe. It’s for anyone planning a visit who wants straight answers on when to go, where to stay, how to get there and what to do once you arrive.

Nobody with something to sell

The site belongs to no tour company, lodge or hotel, booking agent or government office, and none of them fund it. It has no shop and takes no bookings. When you book something, you book it with the business itself or with a booking site.

The person behind it

Adam Yong runs this guide. He founded YS Feet and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has over 20 years in software engineering and digital growth, a computer science background, and works in search, on SEO and search data. He has travelled with his family, with young children, since 2013, and YS Feet began as their family trip journal.

For this guide, he chooses which places to cover by looking at what people really search for. He runs the system that keeps every fact tied to its source. He also reads through each page ahead of publishing, then once more after it’s live.

Adam Yong has not been to Victoria Falls: the guide is built from named sources, not from a trip.

How the site pays for itself

Some pages link to tours on Viator and GetYourGuide. If you book through one of those links, the site may get a commission. Your price stays the same as it would be if you went to the booking site directly.
